"So Proud" - Page in "Invitation" from Les papiers de Pandore.

Hello my dear friends!
I told you before that this Summer I developed a love for using strips of patterned papers on my layouts. Here comes one more example of that!

I used the beautiful 'Invitation' by 'Les Papiers de Pandore'. I admit I grunged it up a bit but of course you you will still recognize the beautiful colours and patterns.

Here are some close ups:

Thanks for dropping by to have a look at my work. It is much appreciated!!

Some simple cads you can make in a jiffy!! Using Panduro "Garden Party".

Lately my mother in law has asked me to make a few simple cards for her to have as a backup at home as it is sometimes difficult for her to get to the stores.I had an hour to spare and wanted to create something that did not involve too much planning so I made these. I used a paper pad by our Swedish manufacturer called Panduro and the pad I used is "Garden Party".
My MIL loves anything that has to do with flowers so I am pretty sure she will like these.

Without further ado here are my cards

Thanks for dropping by!!

CSI Color Stories inspiration # 34. Prima "Nature Garden" and "Pixie Glen". Creative Scrappers # 221

Time again for a new reveal at CSI and this way Debbi is offering us a case file with soft pastel hues
to make any 'shabby heart' sing with joy :..:-) Truly a beautiful combination!

This is the layout that I made for case file # 34:

And this is all the necessary info concerning the present challenge:

For evidence I used different wet mediums like gesso and paint. I also used water based paint if that counts as 'watercolour',.. :-) I even used birds on my layout. My two flying birds were made by 'Dusty Attic'. I gave them a lick of paint and spruced them up a bit with ink and a promarker.

My testimony is to use the five W's.

Friday until almost eight o'clock and today until a short while ago I was at a local fair/market where we had a stall. As I got home I had time for a sandwich before two little visitors arrived. I am baby sitting the girls' youngest cousins who are almost one and six years old. So I guess my evening will be pretty busy too, and tomorrow aswell until the little darlings are picked up.
At the moment Victoria and Beatrice are looking after them for a little while.
I will have to keep this post short and sweet!

Here are some close ups:

I used Nicole's beautiful sketch over at Creative Scrappers as a base for my page design.

Last day of school is 'Happy Day'! Page using 'Invitation'

Another share using "Invitation" by Julie Blanc. The picture I have used is of Bea and a friend chillaxing in the garden after having  waved goodbye to school back in June.
Now eight weeks later , school has just started again and the weeks of sleeping in have come to an end!

I wanted to let the papers shine on this page. It is such a beautiful collection and the colours are lovely!

I have some close ups too, that I made into a collage in Picasa. I have made those for a few pages lately. I don't know if that is better than showing the separate pictures like I used to. I think it might be better because the post doesn't get as looong as they normally do. But maybe some of you prefer to look at a lot of different shots. -Iknow I do sometimes... maybe I will do a little of each even in the future.

The chipboard here is by Imaginarium desig. Love their stuff!!
Thanks for dropping by!

"That Smile" Time for a new Case file at CSI Color Stories Inspiration!

Hi again. Time for a new CSI casefile and a big load of  inspiration!
The colours this week are very classic and not really colours that I use very often but still I am quite happy with the outcome. I should use them more often!

First I will share the layout as it appears in the reveal, only because I really like the way it looks placed within that cool frame. I just love that masking tape and the arrows.

Here you get the gist of the challenge for this week and if you go to the CSI blog you can read all about the names/codes of colours etc at the bottom of the reveal (after all the guest and DT inspiration).
There are some very beautiful examples that you might want to check out!

My papers are a mix from all different manufactureres; Pink Paislee, Glitz, Les Papiers de Pandore, October Afternoon and also from page 2 of the awesome printables on offer as a freebie at CSI
Really cool stuff!

Luckily I had the 'perfect' photos for this case.
Beatrice is very much used to me running wild with my Nikon and taking photos all the time. This leads to that particular smile that says I'll smile if you go away....

On this day we had been to the sales and of course Beatrice had biiig bags to carry home!
We were staying with my sister in Norway and she also loves too take a lot of photos.
My journalling says that Beatrice was much happier to be photographed by her aunt because it was something new and different. She/we had a lot of fun!
For my 'evidence' I used; Wood(buttons), liquid medium (paint, distress stickles), cloud, glitter and
of course triangles in my banners.
My 'testimony' is using journalling strips (and I added them by threes).

A little closer view of some of my layered elements that I even have sewn around.

I am not quite sure but I think that large velvet bloom is made by Petaloo. I don't have the packaging any longer. It is a real beauty though!

This is my little cloud I cut out for evidence. I gave it a coat of gesso with my finger and I added a small amount of glitter to it,too.

These are my triangles and my wooden buttons.

Thanks for taking a peek at my latest page. I am off to work on next weeks colours!
Enjoy your week end!!

I love Warwick Castle! 'To the Manor Born' one more page with 'Invitation'.

Hi to all of you! :-)
I may not say it very often but, really, I want to say Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog!
And thanks so much for all the beautiful and sweet comments that so many of you leave me.
I am always so happy thinking I may inspire some of you as I find so much inspiration coming to visit your blogs!
Let me say; it would not be the same without you...LOL!
Today I have another page using the latest one of the collections from Les Papiers de Pandore to share with you. This collection is called 'Invitation' and has an utterly feminine feel to it.

The photos are of Victoria our middle daughter who is 17 years old. All of us girls spent a fabulous day out at Warwick Castle while visiting eldest DD Alexandra who is a student in the UK.
Victoria was standing at the entrance to the old tower and I could see it made for a pretty photograph. 'Stand still,...click, click, click... She really looks like she belongs 'there'...lol!

Again I made a collage of closeups to show some of my details on this one.

I started off covering up an older sheet of patterned paper that had a pattern I did not want to use.
I added stips on top of this 'backing sheet' until I liked the look. I used both punched and plain strips.
I made this during my vacations and I seem to have developed a certain love for using strips on my lo's during that time.... :-) You will see more of those in my next few layouts for Pandore.
I  glued down all my bits and pieces while all the time adding strokes of gesso paint, mist, ink etc to build up the texture and stiffen it up a bit.I used a mixture of home made flowers and store bought.
I also added a lot of yummy buttons that I made messy with some gesso.
I hope you like it :-)

Till next time take care!!

Special Agent at CSI Color Stories Inspiration second week and a new page using 'Urbanessence'.

Hi there, I am so happy to see you!!

Last night (my time) was the reveal for the new color combination etc at CSI, Color Stories Inspiration.
And today I have a page up at the 'Pandore' blog. You will find both the pages in this post.

I will start with my page for CSI as that was revealed first.

And here is Casefile #32 for you;-all the details will be there.

Don't you just love these beautiful colours...?

I want to share some close ups with you too: Those Corinne flowers by Ingvild Bolme are so stunning!

I used glass glitter for one of my pieces of evidence (something grainy). And wet medium (paint, mist, liquid pearl, gesso). I have stars in my patterned paper too, and I embossed white cardstock for my photo mat.

This is my testimony. I document a trip to the beach on our vacation. The pretty girls in the photo are my daughters and a couple of friends who came down to visit us for a week.

And now to my page using 'Urbanessence', completely different in style :-)

Todays layout is actually a page that I made a few weeks ago.
I made it for the blog at 'Les papiers de Pandore'.
There is so much going on over at Pandore with a very active and oh so fabulous design team that layouts sometimes have to wait a while to find a spot to be published.
If you press the link above you can see all the latest posts and the beautiful artwork.

Here are some closeups of a few little details on my page.

The title 'Solskensungar' literally means 'Sunshinekids' even if there may not be such an expression in the English language.
The photos are of my Beatrice and her younger cousin. It is not  an easy task to get him to sit still for a picture, but at least the charm factor is high...LOL!

I drew a template for the large star to minic the smaller ones in the pp. I wanted to accentuate the yellow so I added some yellow buttons and twine. I also added a vertical row of twine between different papers for a little texture. The sewn outline around the stars were also for texture.
This is an attempt to a clean page and therefore it does not have very much shabbyness in ways of bulky layers and distressing. I quite like how it came out still. It kind of works with the boy/girls page.

I hope you all have a fabulous week end!!

August Guest designer at CSI Color Inspiration. "Boulistic Fun"

Hi and welcome.
Today I am so happy to share that I am the Special Agent for August at Debbi's awesome 'new' challenge site Color Stories Inspiration. How cool is that!!

I received this Case File, which is number 31, to work with. The colours have a lovely Summery feel to them, and they certainly helped brighten my day here in the rainy southern parts of Sweden. We can definitely use some gorgeous Summer brightness at this time!!

For evidence I used liquid mediums, both paints , gesso and mists this time. I also used repetition: I added liquid pearl to my doilies and to the bird cage and I used doilies, both die cut wit my trusted Cheery Lynn dies and crochet ones. The turquoise and the white doily are gifts from the inimitable Leeann Pearce. You can see her fabulous work at Thepaintbrushgoesspotty . I just adore her work!! She has a shop on Etsy where she sells doilies and other super cute embellies.
Oh yes,-and I also used parallel lines. At the bottom of my page you can see I made lines with my sewing machine.

On the back of the page I have jotted down my testimony. I have documented this fun vacation in the South of France. The photos were taken two years ago when my lovely sister came down from Norway  to spend some time with us. I used the words bright and vacations in my journalling.

The papers I have used here are by the French manufacturer "Toga" (gingham) and the rest is "Pink Paislee", "Spring Jubilee". The flowers are from the new collections by Prima and some from my stash.

I love these textile chipboards from Prima Marketing.

A few more close ups: As always I used a lot of distressing and layering.
I just love how the colours came together in this case file. I am above all a 'colour junkie' ,...lol!

I hope you will pay a visit to CSI Color Stories to see all the inspiration that Debbi and her team provide week after week. So much eye candy too!

I am keeping this 'short and sweet' as I am on vacations with my family in Norway.
I am looking forward to sharing the next CSI case file with you next week!!
Thanks for dropping by!
